Australia Day 2018
First problem we had is no way of getting to the boat as it was sitting on a swing mooring with a motor that didn’t work.
Enter Zoe the Zodiac purchased second hand from a lovely chap in Coffs she came with a 5hp Yamaha that was 5 years old and still had the original fuel in the tank, but sprung into life with a little “love”.
So….
- 16 bags of rubbish
- 18 rolls of gladwrap
- sandpaper in every cupboard
- a power tool here and there
- ooh, look, another power tool
It really was just like Christmas morning….
Anyway we slept on the boat that weekend in mouldy sleeping bags, and after a weekend of cleaning up and putting all the engine parts in order on the dinette table we headed back home with a plan to spend a week a month on the boat working.
